The Conversation – ELNET UK Speaks to Dave Rich

Dave Rich is a British author who is renowned for his work on far-right politics and anti-Semitism. He was born and raised in the United Kingdom and has spent much of his life studying and analyzing extremist movements. His work has appeared in numerous publications, including The Guardian, The Independent, and The Huffington Post.

Rich is perhaps best known for his book ‘The Left’s Jewish Problem: Jeremy Corbyn, Israel and Anti-Semitism,’ which was published in 2018. The book examines the rise of anti-Semitism within the UK Labour Party, particularly during Jeremy Corbyn’s tenure as leader. Rich’s analysis of the issue has been widely praised for its clarity and depth of understanding.

In addition to his work on anti-Semitism, Rich has written extensively on the far-right in Europe and the UK. His 2016 book ‘The Face of Hate: Anti-Semitism and the Far Right’ is a comprehensive overview of the subject, examining the history and current state of far-right extremism and its links to anti-Semitism. Rich’s research has also explored the connections between far-right movements and other forms of bigotry, including Islamophobia and racism.

Rich is a Senior Fellow at the Community Security Trust, a charity that works to protect British Jews from anti-Semitic attacks. He has also worked as a researcher at the Institute for Jewish Policy Research, where he focused on the experiences of Jews in the UK and Europe.

Dave Rich is an influential writer on issues related to extremism, anti-Semitism, and far-right politics. His work has helped to shed light on complex and important issues and has contributed to the public understanding of these topics.
